Our SakuraCon Idol winner from 2024!

ChrisSings

ChrisSings is becoming a Sakura-Con fixture: after taking 1st Place in 2024 and the Guest of Honor’s Choice in 2023, he returned as a Judge and Guest of Honor in 2025. He’s back again for 2026, mostly because they haven’t changed the locks yet. His sound is a high-energy fusion of J-Rock, Anisong, and the emotive melodies of Alternative Metal, blending technical grit with a flair for dramatic storytelling. When he isn’t recording in his closet, Chris is usually doomscrolling Instagram for the latest viral food trends or terrorizing local karaoke boxes with Luke and a relentless queue of weeb songs. He is genuinely honored to help crown the next winner for 2026!

Luke

Please join us in welcoming back a familiar voice to the Sakura-Con stage! Luke, the powerhouse performer who captivated audiences and took home first place at Sakura-Con Karaoke Idol 2023, returns this year.

Luke is a just a guy who likes anime and sings. If he can do it, so can you!

After becoming 2023’s SakuraCon Idol, he’s mostly been relaxing and taking a break from singing events. He enjoys anime and Vocaloid ballads, but dabbles into other genres on occasion. Looking forward to another amazing year of SakuraCon karaoke!

We are thrilled to have their expertise and passion helping to guide the next generation of Sakura-Con talent. Get ready for an incredible show as Luke helps us crown this year’s newest Karaoke Idol!

Finalists

Please make sure you send in your mp3s for the final round to Karaoke@sakuracon.org, and check in with our staff between 8am and 1pm. Finals will be in the Terrace Suite, Saturday at 3pm. (Attendance will be taken at 2:45.)

Round 1 Contestants

Check the list to make sure we have your information correct. Please email Karaoke@Sakuracon.org to make any changes. Finalizations will be made on Monday March 30th.

Please be sure to email us your mp3s, if we do not have your song in our database before March 30th. And check in with us in the Karaoke room before 1pm on Friday April 3rd for our staff to make sure you will be present and ready by the event start time. Failure to check in will result in a forfeited entry.
