Project: Elucidating the TSC2-mediated regulation of miRNAs in oral squamous cell carcinoma
Currently, I am working on TSC2-regulated microRNAs (miRNAs) in oral cancer. The miRNAs are small (18-25 nucleotide in length) RNAs which plays a crucial role in gene regulation. Our work will explore the non-canonical role of TSC2 as a transcription factor for miRNA genes.

Project: Polydopamine interference with MTT produces false cell viability results.
During this project, I worked on the interference of Polydopamine with cell viability assays. Polydopamine is a polymer with antimicrobial activity and is being explored as a drug carrier due to its biocompatibility. In another project, we have published the formulation of polydopamine as a coating agent on various surfaces for its antifouling properties.

Project: Hypoxia-mediated changes in cell proliferation, apoptosis, chemo-resistance and alternative splicing in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer
This project was focused on studying Hypoxia-mediated cancer phenotypes and alternative splice variants in TNBC. I have worked on alternative splicing of VEGF and found a novel VEGF splice variant expressed only in hypoxic conditions in TNBC.
