I was born in Delhi and moved to Australia at 13, an experience that shaped my interest in religion, culture, identity, and the Global South. Since then I’ve lived, studied, and worked across Sydney, Rome, and Zurich, and these places continue to inform how I see the world. Specifically, as grandchild of the partition generation, I have a deep desire to contribute to peacebuilding.
I’m a policy and risk specialist, peacebuilder, and researcher with 13 years in the Australian Government and a Master’s in Peace Studies & Conflict Resolution from The American University of Rome. My work bridges governance and global risk with humanitarian values, community dialogue, and cross-cultural understanding.
In my work at a , I’ve led national policy projects, represented Australia internationally, and worked on universal challenges including climate risk, natural hazards, and geopolitical financial risk. Alongside this, I’ve spent years building intercultural youth dialogue programs in Sydney, facilitating Peace Forums, and supporting social cohesion through my work on the NSW Police Commissioner’s Multicultural Advisory Council.
My interests include world literature, Hindustani poetry, history, sports, and understanding people through conversation. My strengths lie in building connection quickly, creating community spaces, and delivering collaborative projects through strong leadership.
I’m now interested in contributing more towards humanitarian work, peacebuilding, and global cooperation — aiming to combine my government policy expertise with my commitment to building peaceful societies through dialogue.
