Ive been waiting years for ps5 digital version to become available for purchase and i finally see it now available to buy online. I've also taken an interesting into rocksmith but was considering PC/mac version which i hear is now subscription based. I've also heard that the best version may be the original rocksmith 14 not the remastered version but I could be wrong about that. My question is should i go for the disk version of ps5 and rocksmith 14 or does the ps5 digital version of rocksmith still contain all the cool features of the original? I save $100 on the digital ps5 so unless theres something pretty special about the original disk version I may have answered my own question. But I did hear there were some things you could mod on the original that are otherwise unavailable. Tanks!

The main reason I'm asking is because I can get the 2014 edition for around 40, but I can only find the remastered version with the true-tone cable for 80! If it's worth it I'm willing to pay, but I'm not sure if it is? Can anyone help enlighten me?

I read that the old version of Rocksmith would automatically upgrade to the Remastered version with an update, but I can't figure it out. I have a feeling I just have to buy the remastered version, but that isn't what I was interpreting from the store page.
