1. Introduction
Sakhi (“App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a menstrual health and wellness companion designed to help users understand their bodies across different life stages. This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, stored, shared, and protected when you use the App on iOS or Android.
By downloading, accessing, or using Sakhi, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
This Policy is intended to comply with applicable platform requirements, including Apple App Store and Google Play privacy expectations.
2. Scope of the App
Depending on the mode you select, Sakhi may help you:
- Track menstrual cycles and related predictions
- Support trying-to-conceive (fertility awareness) logging
- Track pregnancy-related information
- Navigate perimenopause-related logging and insights
- Manage postpartum and breastfeeding-related logs
- Log symptoms, moods, medicines, notes, and wellness activities
- Set reminders and secure the App with a PIN and/or biometrics
- Create local backups or exports
- Subscribe to Premium features
Sakhi is a wellness and tracking tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3. Information We Process
3.1 Health and personal information you enter (on-device)
When you use the App, you may enter information that can be sensitive or health-related, including:
- Period and cycle dates, cycle length, period length, and prediction settings
- Daily logs (symptoms, moods, sexual activity, contraception, notes)
- Medicine names, schedules, and related history
- Body measurements such as weight and temperature
- Mode-specific profiles and logs (pregnancy, perimenopause, postpartum, fertility)
- App preferences (language, reminder times, theme, security settings)
- An optional recovery email, only if you choose to provide one
Important: Core cycle and health logs are stored locally on your device in an on-device database. We do not operate a Sakhi cloud account that stores your period diary for sync across devices.
3.2 Device and permission-related information
With your permission (where required by the operating system), the App may access:

3.3 Biometric data
If you enable Face ID, Touch ID, or similar biometric unlock, authentication is performed by your device’s operating system. Sakhi receives only a success or failure result. We do not collect, store, or transmit fingerprint or face templates.
3.4 Technical, advertising, and service information
When the App connects to the internet (for optional or supporting features), certain technical data may be processed by us or our service providers, such as:
- Device identifiers (for example, advertising ID if you allow tracking on iOS, and installation/instance identifiers)
- App version, device model, OS version, and similar diagnostics
- Crash logs and performance data
- Approximate analytics about feature usage (for example, screens viewed)
- Push notification tokens
- Subscription and purchase status
This technical data is separate from the contents of your period calendar and health diary.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
1. Provide App features (tracking, insights, reminders, widgets, backup/export)
2. Secure access when PIN or biometrics are enabled
3. Process Premium subscriptions and restore purchases
4. Deliver push notifications you enable
5. Show advertisements to users who are not on Premium
6. Analyze aggregate product usage and improve stability and performance
7. Comply with law, enforce terms, and protect users and the App
We do not sell your personal health or cycle diary contents.
5. Where Information Is Stored

6. Third-Party Services
Internet connectivity is not required for core on-device logging. The following services may be used when you use related features or when the App is online:

Advertising and analytics partners may receive device or advertising identifiers and limited technical data as described in their respective privacy policies. They do not receive the contents of your period calendar, symptom logs, or other health diary entries stored on your device.
7. Sharing of Information
We may share information only as follows:
- With service provider listed above, to operate ads, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, and subscriptions
- **With other apps or services you choos, when you export, share, print, a backup of PDF
- If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security
- In a business transfer**, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required
We do not sell health/cycle diary data to data brokers.
8. Data Retention
- On-device health data remains until you delete it, clear App data, or uninstall the App
- Exported files remain under your control wherever you save or share them
- Data held by third-party providers is retained according to their policies
- You may reset advertising identifiers and tracking preferences in your device settings
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to an offline-first mobile app, including:
- Local storage of health logs on the device
- Hashed PIN storage when App lock is enabled
- OS-level biometric authentication
No method of electronic storage is completely secure. Please protect your device with a passcode and treat exported backups as sensitive.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your device and region, you may:
- View, edit, or delete information inside the App
- Enable or disable notifications,tracking, location, and Face ID in system settings
- Decline App Tracking on iOS
- Upgrade to Premium where offered to remove ads
- Create or delete local backups
- Uninstall the App

11. Children’s Privacy
Sakhi is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information in the App, please contact us so we can help you delete it.
12. International Users
The App may be used in different countries. Third-party providers may process technical data in locations where they operate. By using the App, you understand that supporting services may process data outside your country of residence, subject to applicable law and provider safeguards.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” / “Last Updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy, where permitted by law.
