After completing a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics and an M.S. in Computer Science (U of Oregon), I held Physics research positions at three Universities (Victoria, McGill and Regina) from 1981 to 1987. As a physicist, my research interests were in high energy particle theory and phenomenology - deep-inelastic scattering, low-pt phenomenology especially in the valon-recombination model, phenomenological applications of perturbative QCD, exotic particle phenomenon and rare low-energy weak decays. Beginning 1987 new research interests were in:
