Major Research Grants and Fellowships
1. Discovery Early Career Award (DECRA) by Australian Research Council (ARC) – as a chief investigator in an independent research grant of around 0.4 million Australian dollars for a project on quantitative structure-property relations in molecular crystals (relinquished to take up the position in IIT Delhi). 2. Awarded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship for the project titled ‘Electronic structure and energy descriptors for molecular crystals from quantum crystallography and X-ray charge density analysis’ in February, 2018.
3. Allocations of 4 neutron diffraction projects at Bragg Institute, Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization (ANSTO), Sydney as Chief Investigator/ co-proposer (2015-2018).
Awards in international conferences:
1. “Rising Star” award for young researchers, for an oral presentation in CRYSTAL 29, the 29th Biennial Conference of the Society of Crystallographers in Australia and New Zealand, held in Queensland, April 22-25, 2014.
2. “Rising Star” award for an oral presentation, in AsCA2015, 13th Conference of the Asian Crystallographers Association, held in Kolkata, India December 5-8, 2015.
Poster prizes at international conferences:
1. CrystEngComm poster prize in the XXII IUCr general assembly, held at Madrid, Spain in August, 2011.
2. Best poster award in the Indo-US bilateral meeting on the Evolving Role of Solid state Chemistry in Pharmaceutical Sciences, held at Manesar, Delhi, for the presentation of the poster entitled ‘Polymorphism and Tautomeric Preference in Fenobam: A Methodology Based on NLO Activity to Detect Polymorphic Impurity’ in February, 2012.
3. Best poster prize in Gordon Research Conference - Crystal Engineering held at Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, USA, in June, 2012.
4. Awarded the best poster golden prize in XVIII Sagamore conference on Charge, Spin and Momentum Densities held in Sardinia, Italy 7-12 June 2015 for the presentation of the poster entitled ‘Electric field in supramolecular host-guest complexes from charge density analysis: insights into vibrational stark effect’.
