I am a postdoctoral research scholar at the University of Iowa and a clinically certified audiologist (ABAC| NHPC). I completed my doctoral degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and my master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Mysore in India. My doctoral research focused on understanding the neurophysiological mechanisms of extended high-frequency hearing and its implications for speech perception. I also have a strong research interest in understanding the mechanisms underlying sound sensitivity disorders, including hyperacusis and misophonia. In addition, I have three years of clinical experience as an audiologist in Nepal, working across hospital and private clinic settings.
