About Me

Sajal Sarkar received his Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology both in Information Technology. He has obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2013 from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. He did postdoctoral research on cybersecurity for power system automation at National Cybersecurity R&D Laboratory (NCL), School of Computing, National University of Singapore. He has done PG Diploma in Management (Harvard ManageMentor, Online) from of Harvard Publishing, Harvard University.  He has 21+ years of experiences consisting of teaching, research, and industry. He has worked in different Govt. of India sponsored research projects as a Research Scientist at Indian Statistical Institute and IIT Kharagpur, India. Presently, he is working as a Chief Manager in area of Information/Cyber Security in Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), one amongst the largest Power Transmission utilities in the world.

Dr. Sarkar has in his credit a number of publications in International Conferences, Journals and Chapter in Edited Book. He has reviewed papers of several International Journals (IEEE JSAC, IET, Springer, IETE, etc) and Conferences. His main research interests include information/cyber security, artificial intelligence /machine learning for cyber security, mobile ad-hoc networks, wireless sensor networks, image processing, and pattern recognition.
