What are the hours for VBS?
VBS will run from 9am-12pm each day; however, on the first day of VBS (Monday) we will start 15 minutes earlier at 8:45. The doors will open at 8:30 on that first day, and they will open at approximately 8:45 on the remaining days. Volunteers will be asked to come 30 minutes before doors open each day and will stay an average of at least 15 minutes after it ends. This is to help with setup and prep for the day and to participate in our staff meetings.
Is there an extended day offered?
Yes. This year, St. Therese Academy will be able to offer Share-n-Care to our VBS participants’ families. This is set up and run through the St. Therese Academy, so we will forward information to connect families to this opportunity.
My child isn’t in kindergarten yet. Can they participate?
Our program is set up for children who already have school experience. This is typically those who are currently in kindergarten and will be entering 1st grade in the fall. If a child has school experience, has older siblings, and is entering kindergarten in the fall, exceptions might be made on a case by case basis. Parents can reach out to the VBS email if they would like to discuss the readiness for a specific child.
