If you want a modern, high-resolution interface tailored specifically for the rugged Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra fleet, choose SailingTravel Android 13; if you need an ultra-smooth multitasking experience with split-screen capabilities designed exclusively for the Chevy Cruze, choose Jerqry 8Core.
As a boat owner and someone who treats vehicle electronics with the same scrutiny I apply to marine gear, I know that buying a head unit is about more than just playing music. It is about integration, reliability, and ensuring the technology fits your specific machine without requiring a custom fabrication job. When you are staring at two options like the SailingTravel Android 13 and the Jerqry 8Core, the decision often comes down to one critical factor: compatibility. These are not universal units meant for every dash; they are engineered for very specific chassis years. The SailingTravel targets the heavy-duty trucks of General Motors from the mid-2010s, while the Jerqry is locked into the compact sedan ecosystem of the late 2000s and early 2010s. Picking the wrong one means a dashboard full of empty space or a wiring nightmare that will never turn on.
• SailingTravel Android 13: Its biggest strength is the QLED screen technology and the specific fitment for the 2014–2018 Silverado and Sierra platforms, offering a direct factory-style replacement. The trade-off is that it lacks the advanced split-screen functionality found in newer models and is limited to the OS version provided in its specific build. This pick is for owners of GM trucks who want a clean, bright display that matches their vehicle's aesthetic without aftermarket modifications.
• Jerqry 8Core: Its standout feature is the powerful 8-core processor running Android 15 paired with a 10.4-inch IPS touchscreen that supports split-screen multitasking. The trade-off is that this unit is strictly incompatible with any vehicle other than the 2009–2015 Chevy Cruze, making it useless for anyone else. This pick is for the tech-savvy Cruze driver who wants to run navigation and media simultaneously without lag.
The SailingTravel Android 13 head unit is built for the owner of a Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra from model years 2014 through 2018. If you drive one of these trucks, you know the original radio bezel and mounting points are unique to that generation. This unit is designed to drop right into that cavity, preserving the factory look while upgrading the brain of the car. The core appeal here is the QLED screen technology. In my view, QLED panels offer superior brightness and color accuracy compared to standard LCDs, which is a significant advantage when driving in harsh sunlight or during night shifts where glare can be an issue.
For the truck owner, the inclusion of wireless CarPlay and Android Auto is a major selling point. You do not need to fumble with cables every time you hop into the cab. However, there are limitations to consider. If you are looking for a system that lets you have a map open on half the screen while scrolling through YouTube on the other, this unit may feel a bit more traditional in its interface approach. It is best suited for drivers who prioritize screen clarity and a seamless, cable-free smartphone connection over aggressive multitasking features.

This product is ideal for the Silverado or Sierra owner who values a bright, vivid display and a plug-and-play experience that respects the vehicle's original wiring harness. It is a solid choice for those who want to modernize an older truck without turning the dashboard into a mess of wires. However, if your primary use case involves running multiple heavy applications simultaneously or if you own a different make or model of vehicle, this unit will not serve your needs. The focus here is on delivering a high-quality visual experience within the specific constraints of the GM truck platform.
The Jerqry 8Core is a specialized piece of hardware designed exclusively for the Chevrolet Cruze manufactured between 2009 and 2015. If you own a Cruze from this era, this unit is likely the only way to get a modern operating system into your dash without drilling new holes or fabricating custom brackets. The defining characteristic of this device is its processing power. Running on an 8-core processor with Android 15, it offers a level of fluidity that older systems simply cannot match. The combination of 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM provides ample space for downloading streaming apps, storing maps, and keeping your favorite games or utilities ready to go.
What sets this unit apart for the Cruze driver is the 10.4-inch HD IPS touchscreen and its support for split-screen mode. You can literally split the display to show navigation on one side and media playback on the other. This is a game-changer for long drives where you need constant access to GPS without having to switch back and forth between apps. The IPS panel ensures wide viewing angles, meaning whether you are in the driver's seat or a passenger is checking the screen, the image remains clear and vibrant. Additionally, the 36-band EQ settings allow you to fine-tune the audio output to create a concert-like experience, giving you control over bass, treble, and balance that rivals dedicated sound systems.
However, the exclusivity of this unit is also its biggest constraint. It will not fit anything other than the specified Cruze models. If you have a different year or a different body style, this unit is a non-starter. Furthermore, the reliance on a specific operating system (Android 15) means you must ensure your phone's compatibility aligns with the latest standards, though most modern smartphones should work seamlessly with the wireless CarPlay and Android Auto features. This product is perfect for the Cruze enthusiast who wants a futuristic, tablet-like experience in their car, complete with voice commands via Siri or Google Assistant to keep hands on the wheel.

If I were buying for my own boat or vehicle, I would choose the Jerqry 8Core if I owned a Chevy Cruze from that era. The combination of the 8-core processor and the split-screen capability represents a genuine leap forward in usability. Being able to see your route and listen to music at the same time without the system stuttering is a safety and convenience feature that outweighs the slight difference in screen technology. The IPS panel also feels more robust for daily use. However, for the boat owner with a Silverado or Sierra, the SailingTravel Android 13 is the only logical choice because it is the only one that fits the vehicle. Compatibility is king; a beautiful screen that doesn't fit the dash is useless. Ultimately, the Jerqry wins on pure performance specs, but the SailingTravel wins on being the correct tool for the specific truck job.
