Hi, I am Saifullah Sayed, currently doing my MSc at the Institute of Water and Flood Management (IWFM), BUET. My thesis topic is " Assessing Spatial Thresholds for Indices-Based Water Mapping Using Sentinel-2 Satellite Imageries Over Ukhia and Teknaf of Bangladesh". I am currently working as a Research Assistant in a project named ‘Field-Based Applied Research on 'Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR)' Technology for Increasing Cropping Intensity of Bangladesh. Where I am responsible for various things including Water quality sample collection (Major anion and cation, Isotope, Coliform), Land use land cover mapping, and potential groundwater recharge zone identification with the help of Remote sensing.
My long-term professional objective is to become a university professor, a position I believe would provide me with great satisfaction once I have completed my doctoral studies. In a nutshell, I could quickly acquire the necessary knowledge and expertise to take on any role in a demanding workplace. I hope to be the most reliable member of my team.
My research focuses primarily on the areas of Satellite and Remote Sensing Applications in Water Resources and Agriculture, Flood monitoring, Hydrology, Geophysics, Climate, Ground Water Chemistry, Water Quality & Health Risk Assessment, Geo-spatial Data Analytics and Modeling.
