Tamil New Year day Celebrations at Haridaspuram

Chitlapakkam Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi celebrated the Tamil New Year day on 14 April 2010 at its adopted village: Haridaspuram in the Periyapalayathamman Temple. Nemilicherry Samithi and VGP Rajakilpakkam Samithi also joined the Chitlapakkam Samithi and participated in the activities.

The details of programs held are as follows:

5:00 am - Omkaram,Suprabatham, Nagara Sangeerthanam

9:00 am - Sai Bhajan

9:50 am - Speech On the mission of beloved Bagawan by Sri Kumaraswamy,

correspondent, Sri Sathya Sai educare Nemilicherry.

11:00 am – Speech on Vikruthi year by Purohit Hari Karthik

11:15 am – Cultural Program by Bakvikas Children (Rural and Residential)

12:00 noon – Mangala Harathi and Maha Prasadam

Various events from Bagawan’s Avatar to the present day social welfare help dwelt in the speech of Mr Kumaraswamy with comparison of those of Lord Rama and Krishna, Jesus Christ, Mahaveer were so sole thrilling and was well received by the gathering.

Of the 100+ gathering more than half were from the village Haridaspuram, Balavikas Children (Village and residential) and members form the rest.

The significance of the year Vikruthi was explained by a Purohit Hari Karthik.

Cultural programs depicting Bagawan’s teachings were performed by Balvikas Children of the Chitlapakkam Seva Samithi.

One of the gurus appealed to the village population to send their children regularly and in more numbers to enable starting one more unit of Balvikas.

The president of the temple Sri Kesavan who is rendering all help for the Samithi activities in the village expressed his thanks to Bagawan for bringing Krishna Water to Chennai. He also urged the local population to participate in all the Sai Seva activities.

The program came to a happy conclusion with Mangala Harathi and Prasadam distribution.

Sixty copies of the Special Supplement on Bagawan brought out by Dinamalar was distributed to each of the families of the adopted village. The news paper agent gave away the copies free of charge.
