I am a theoretical and computational physicist working at the interface of biophysics, statistical physics, and artificial intelligence. I am currently a Research Staff member at New York University Abu Dhabi, where I study hydrodynamics at low Reynolds number, bioconvection in microswimmer suspensions, and emergent phenomena in complex systems. More recently, my work has also bridged physics and data science, using deep learning and Fourier Neural Operators to model and predict traffic flow in realistic settings.
Before joining NYU Abu Dhabi, I spent over a decade as a scientist in the Theoretical Physics Division at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Mumbai, India, working on problems in condensed matter, plasma physics, and equation of state modeling. I hold a Ph.D. from Homi Bhabha National Institute, an M.Sc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, and a postgraduate qualification in Data Science and Business Analytics from the University of Texas at Austin. I have authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Physical Review E, Physics of Fluids, Soft Matter, and Transportation Research Part C. I enjoy teaching, mentoring students, and collaborating across disciplines.
