It began from the corner of the yard wall; the details of the branches and leaves, and beyond them, their shadows. From shadow to shadows, misplaced, scattered, and disturbed shadows, until the misplaced presence of each of us. Shadows are always a two-dimensional and almost monochrome image of the three-dimensional phenomena of our colorful world. This concept is the main focus of Sahar Alizadeh's works: shadows, flat images resulting from the impact of light on people and objects, in line with a fragmented narrative of the world we live in. The emphasis on flatness in these works aligns with the material reality of painting; an image of the gray world of shadows.
