Shivam Aggarwal

I am Shivam Aggarwal, a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Materials Science & Engineering Department at IIT Kanpur. Before joining IIT Kanpur, I earned my Master's degree in Physics from CCS University, Meerut (UP). Currently, I am working on designing novel high-performing halide perovskite materials for photovoltaic applications, using machine learning, under the supervision of Dr. Tanmoy Maiti. Under his guidance, I aim to discover novel, stable, and environmentally friendly perovskite materials with outstanding properties, focusing on non-toxicity and stability. To achieve this, we employ data-driven approaches to uncover underlying phenomena in the data that are beyond human perception, leveraging machine learning's ability to analyze complex relationships in multidimensional spaces.
