Biography:

I have passed Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1992 from University of Calcutta, West Bengal and Master of Science in Biochemistry in1994 and then obtained my Ph.D. degree as a UGC-GATE qualified fellow in 2001 from Jadavpur University, West Bengal. I was a project participant in the Indo-Hungarian Exchange program under DST, New Delhi in 1998-99. I have 8 years of full time post-doctoral research experience in various capacities. I have worked as a Visiting Academic in Monash University, Melbourne, Victoria during April to September 2008, under the Endeavour fellowship, sponsored by the Govt. of Australia. I have also received DST Women Scientist fellowship, New Delhi, Govt. of India, during 2009-2012. I have also worked as Visiting Faculty for Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology, Kolkata and MSIT, Kolkata. I have about 45 scientific publications, 3 books, 8 book chapters and more than 12 publications in conference proceedings in the sphere of Health, toxicity, Pharmacokinetics, Environmental Science and Environmental Biology. I am a Life Member of the Indian Chemical Society, life member of VIBHA, Fellow Member SAIARD, Professional member, Association of Pharmaceutical Research.
