Mission

SAGA (Spartans Abroad Global Ambassadors) is a student organization at MSU that was created with the intention of providing resources for both future and past education abroad participants. We connect returning students with future participants to give advice and share their experiences. Additionally, we provide resources (unpacking workshop, diversity series, etc.) for education abroad returnees that allow them to continue their education abroad experience when they return to MSU's campus.

Check out the Ambassador Map to see where all of our ambassadors have gone. You can get an ambassador's contact info by clicking on any pin on the map. Feel free to reach out to our ambassadors if you are interested in the same program/region that they studied abroad in!

Unpacking Workshop

Unpacking your Education Abroad Experiences is a workshop aimed at providing students with the resources to use their experiences abroad effectively on job/graduate school applications or in interview settings. This event is hosted by SAGA each semester in partnership with MSU Career Services.

SAGA Series

SAGA Series is a diversity series that we kicked off in the Fall of 2017. Our aim is to create a dialogue regarding underrepresented and diverse populations on Education Abroad programs at MSU and, if possible, take action to encourage these students to study abroad.

      • Mental Health Abroad
      • First Gen Abroad
      • High Financial Need Students Abroad

Region Packets

Over the course of this semester we are developing a new resource called Region Packets. The Region Packets will be a source of information about specific regions that our ambassadors have traveled to including the following categories and more:

      • Food
      • Night Life
      • Fun Tips
      • Safety
      • Travel

Actual packets will be uploaded to the Region Packets page once they are completed
