Once the fundamentals have been established, the lesson will incorporate 2nd-intention, finta-in-tempo, and contra-tempo exercises to provide the student with a complete repertoire of fencing actions.

The goal of this fencing syllabus will be to provide the student with an excellent foundation for future development.
A 15 to 20-minute session focusing on the mechanics of fencing footwork. Many fencers are held back by fundamental errors in their footwork technique. The Footwork Lesson is for students who have already been introduced to fencing but may not have learned the correct technique for the advance, retreat, lunge, advance-lunge, and the fleche. The coach will put a student's existing technique under a microscope and provide instruction on how to make their footwork more precise, effective, and dangerous

A 1-hour session to analyze one or more of the student's recorded fencing matches. Analysis will focus on what's happening in the match, what the opponent is doing, and what the student can do to counter. The session's objective will be to give the student a better understanding of their strengths and weaknesses and what they should work on to improve their results. Also will focus on building dynamic tactical awareness.
