I decide that I really do not want to get on Commander Xu’s bad side, so I tell Tyasia that I don’t think we should contact Base Command until we have all the facts. I say that we really should do more in-depth interviews with everyone who saw Dr. Lily Foster yesterday before she went missing. Tyasia nods and says, “If that’s what you think is best.” I have to admit, I’m a bit surprised that Tyasia’s giving in that easily. I decide to start with Jordan Ramirez, since she was the one who reported Dr. Foster’s disappearance. We interview all of our other susp--I mean, witnesses. Then I write everything up, and add the information to our evidence file.
After Tyasia and I re-read the evidence, she shakes her head. “There’s something weird going on with Octavius Thompson,” she says. “I think we should search his room. And maybe Jake Harris’ room, too. He’s just so…nice. No one is actually that nice.”
