• Since SafePaste AI is a newly released security tool, Google displays a standard caution for new extensions. Rest assured, SafePaste AI is 100% safe. It operates entirely locally (no server uploads) and has passed Google’s official code review and security checks. 

Does SafePaste AI store my data?

• No. All processing happens 100% locally on your device using Web Workers. Your data is never stored, collected, or transmitted to any external servers.

What data can it mask?

• FREE Version: Protects Passwords, API Keys (Stripe, AWS, Google, etc.), Slack Tokens, Discord Webhooks, Emails, and Phone Numbers.

• Locally Processed Data: All detection and redaction of sensitive information occur entirely on your local device. This includes processing for both text pastes and file uploads (up to 50KB for Free, 2MB for Pro). We do not collect, store, or transmit any data processed through the extension.

• Subscription & Authentication: Your email is collected via ExtensionPay solely for Pro subscription management and verification.

• Zero-Analytics Policy: We do not use any tracking scripts, cookies, or analytics to monitor your activity or content.

2. Permissions Justification

• Storage: Used only to save your local preferences, such as "Custom Rules" (Words to Hide/Show) and protection status.

• Host Permissions: Required to provide real-time protection on supported AI platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Copilot, Perplexity, and others.

• Web Workers: Used for high-performance, background data processing to ensure your browser remains responsive during large file sanitization.

3. Data Sharing and Security

• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or transfer any user data to third parties.

• No Analytics Tracking: We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking scripts that monitor your browsing behavior.

4. User Control

Users have full control over the extension's redaction settings. You may enable or disable specific filters or the entire extension at any time through the popup menu or keyboard shortcuts.

License: We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the extension for data privacy. Reverse-engineering or decompiling the extension is strictly prohibited.

Free vs. Pro Usage:

• Free Version: Includes protection for Passwords, API Keys, PII (Email/Phone), and file uploads up to 50KB.

• Pro Subscription: Unlocks Specialized Protection (Crypto, Private Keys, Finance, Identity, IP Addresses), higher file limits (2MB), Multi-Tab Workspace support, and Custom Rules.

Limitation of Liability:

 SafePaste AI is a security tool designed to assist in data redaction. While we use advanced patterns to detect secrets, the user is responsible for the final review of any data submitted to third-party AI platforms. We are not liable for any data leaks resulting from user error or undetected patterns.
