These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SafePanda application (“the App”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

1. Purpose of the App

SafePanda is a personal safety check‑in tool designed to help users stay connected with their trusted contacts. The App provides reminders to check in and may send alert messages to selected contacts if the user does not respond within the chosen interval.

The App is not a medical, emergency, or life‑saving service. It is intended as a supportive tool only.

2. User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• entering accurate trusted contact information

• ensuring your device can send SMS or messages

• maintaining an active mobile plan capable of sending alerts

• responding to check‑in reminders in a timely manner

• understanding that the App cannot guarantee delivery of messages

The App cannot replace emergency services or professional monitoring.

3. SMS and Carrier Fees

If the App sends alert messages via SMS, your mobile carrier may charge fees according to your tariff plan.

You are solely responsible for any costs associated with sending SMS alerts.

4. Optional Location Sharing

If you choose to include your location in alert messages:

• the App may request access to your device’s location

• your location is used only to generate the alert message

• your location is not stored or transmitted to any third‑party services

• you may disable this feature at any time

5. Permissions

Depending on your chosen features, the App may request permissions such as:

• SMS / messaging

• notifications

• location (optional)

These permissions are used only for the App’s intended functionality.

6. No Warranty

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

The developer does not guarantee:

• uninterrupted operation

• successful delivery of alerts

• accuracy of location data

• prevention of harm or emergencies

You use the App at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for:

• missed alerts

• delayed messages

• device failures

• carrier issues

• user error

• any damages resulting from reliance on the App

The App is a supportive tool, not a guaranteed safety system.

8. Changes to the Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
