Welcome to "Safe Me"! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile application ("Safe Me" or "the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

2. Description of the Service

"Safe Me" is an SOS panic button application designed to assist users during emergencies by:

• Sending real-time location data to trusted contacts.

• Providing device battery status to contacts.

• Offering the option to record and share audio for additional context.

3. Account Registration

To use the App’s features, you must register an account by providing accurate and complete information, including your email address and phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. User Responsibilities

When using "Safe Me," you agree to:

• Use the App only for its intended purposes.

• Ensure the information you provide (e.g., trusted contacts’ details) is accurate and up to date.

• Not misuse the App or interfere with its functionality.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

• Engaging in fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful activities.

• Attempting to hack, disrupt, or compromise the App’s security.

• Sharing or uploading false information that could harm others.

5. Emergency Features

The App’s SOS functionality depends on your real-time location, battery status, and optional audio recordings. By using these features, you agree to allow the App to collect and share this information with your specified trusted contacts during emergencies.

Data Upload and Consent: You acknowledge that your data will be uploaded to our servers for functionality purposes. Your explicit consent is required for data collection and sharing.

6. Service Availability

"Safe Me" strives to maintain consistent functionality but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Factors such as network availability, technical issues, or device compatibility may impact the App’s performance. We are not liable for any failure to deliver notifications or other functionalities during emergencies.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to software, trademarks, logos, and text, are owned by "Safe Me" or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App without prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• "Safe Me" is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App’s functionality or reliability.

• "Safe Me" is not responsible for any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from the use or inability to use the App.

• You acknowledge that the App is an aid and not a substitute for professional emergency services.

9. Termination of Use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms.

• Engage in prohibited activities or misuse the App.

• Discontinue the App’s use voluntarily.

Upon termination, your access to the App’s features will cease, but your data may remain on our servers as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

10. Updates to the App and Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective upon posting in the App or notifying you directly. Continued use of the App after such updates signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvian Jurisdiction. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in accordance with the laws and courts of LatvianJurisdiction.
