Note: The SafeArt Youth Drop-in is on Summer Break. The program will restart in September!
All middle-school and high school aged youth in the Chelsea area are invited to our weekly drop-in.
(Youth from neighboring communities and beyond are also invited!)
Usually, we take turns DJing, and talk about music. Sometimes we doodle, collage, or sketch. Sometimes we talk about books, movies, or games, and sometimes we don't really talk much.
Sometimes we have snacks, and play games.
You don't have to sign up. You won't get 'assignments'.
You won't have to talk about anything or participate in any activity.
You can just be yourself and hang out.
Drop-in with your friends, or come by to make new friends.
Every Wednesday, 3-5 p.m. At the SafeArt space in the Mascoma Bank Building (unless stated otherwise).
But you're always welcome to work on your own project!
Learn the basic building blocks of drawing: warm-ups, skill building exercises, simple step-by-step how-to drawings, media/materials, and more.
You're always welcome to just come hang out, do your own project, listen to music, and chat with friends.
