We are a coalition of students from across Virginia who recognize an unsettling trend of government censorship in our classrooms. As state politicians sign bills and enact orders that undermine every child and teacher's ability to discuss and explore complex and relevant issues, we refuse to stand idly by as our educational institutions are attacked. Enforcing these educational restrictions will not eliminate discrimination, bias, or ignorance - in fact, it will only instigate such evils by withholding necessary education from the next generation of Virginians.

S.A.F.E. was created to provide a crucial voice to education reform discourse: the students. We see the threats government overreach poses to the freedom we are provided in our classrooms, and we need your help to make our voices heard.
