Biography

I received a B.S. and Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Seoul National University in 2013 and 2018. I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering, at UNIST, South Korea. My research focus is on secure and stable machine learning. This includes stability analysis, robust training from an adversary, and privacy-preserving machine learning through encryption. In addition, I have led research projects developing unsupervised transfer learning methods through statistical analysis and secure data analytics pipelines for fair machine learning. In the future, I would like to develop a secure AI system and seek to explore integrating statistical and mathematical models into machine learning systems to solve real-world problems.
