Instructions for Oral and Poster Presentations
Oral Presentation guidelines:
Length:
Abstracts selected for oral presentations will be given will be given 30 minutes which will include 5 minutes for Q&A (25+5). Time limits will be strictly enforced.
Computers and Audio-Visual Equipment:
Please bring your presentation file (.ppt/.pptx or .pdf) to the conference on a USB stick. The conference room will have a PC (Windows, with PowerPoint and Adobe Reader) and a video projector. Presenting from the conference PC shall be the default (and the strongly preferred) option. In case of technical problems, you may present from your own laptop, but please bring along any adapters needed to connect to HDMI if you need to use this option. We will ask you to load your presentations ahead of the session in which you are presenting to ease transitions and keep the schedule.
Set-up and Preparation:
Please be sure to arrive at your session during the preceding break (at least 15 minutes before the start of the session) and introduce yourself to the session chair. Make sure to briefly check that fonts, pictures, audio, and/or video display are as you intend them to be. Please make sure that you are ready to start on time.
Poster Presentation Guidelines:
Poster Board Size:
The bulletin boards are 3 ft. by 4 ft. high. Vertically aligned A0 sized posters (841 x 1189 mm or 33.1 x 46.8 inches) will work best.
Set-up and Preparation:
Please make sure that you set the posters up well before the actual session begins. Please take the posters off the boards at the end of the morning or afternoon session in which your poster was on display.Â
