沙加緬度地區台灣同鄉會成立於1997年, 係 由一群來自台灣旅美人士創立的非營利社團。同鄉會宗旨是幫助台灣新移民順利地融入美國社會; 促進與Sacramento主流社會台美跨文化的交流。同鄉會每年舉辦多項文化和社區活動, 其中包括北加州郊遊, 雙十節觀光旅遊團, 萬聖節舞會, 年底並有冬至晚會和優良學生獎學金頒發等。

Sacramento Area Formosan Association (SAFA), a non-profit organization, was founded in 1997. The objectives of SAFA are to nurture the Sacramento Taiwanese-American community, to help new immigrants from Taiwan in their transition to this country, to promote Taiwanese and Chinese culture, and to facilitate better cross-cultural understanding among communities in Sacramento.

SAFA plans to host and to engage in many cultural and community activities throughout the year, such as field trip in northern California, trip to Taiwan for the Double Tenth celebration, ballroom dances, annual student scholarship award banquet, and other suitable events.
