If you have not already done so, in preparation for the event you will need to complete these tasks
Please submit a single slide to display while you give a quick 2-minute status update (i.e. your topic and what stage of your research you are), by Friday 4 February, highlighting your current challenges. We suggest you practice to stick to time! Please send this to Nondumiso.Mginywa@uct.ac.za
Please suggest a single question for our pub quiz on the opening night, and provide teh correct answer to your question. The question can be specific to climate change, or it may cover any general knowledge (e.g. history, entertainment, sport). Submitting a difficult question means your team will be ahead of the others in at least one answer! Please send in your question by Friday 4 February. You can submit your question on this form
Please submit any changes to your bio from last year. You can find your previous bio here. If you have any changes, please send these to Nondumiso.Mginywa@uct.ac.za
In one of the sessions, you will be asked to briefly describe your plans or ideas for data collection. You do not need to prepare a presentation for this.
In a separate session, we will be working through practical examples using various data analysis software. If you have a specific question or problem with the data analysis software you are using or planning to use, please capture it in this form. You can enter as many questions as you like. If you don’t ask, we can’t help!
Select a short piece of writing from your current research. For example, this can come from your proposal or literature review, or a later chapter of your thesis if you have started writing up your analysis.
