My main interest is to work on real-world challenges in machine learning, which is validated by achieving First Place in three separate international research challenges:
1. Genomic Modelling (ECML Discovery Challenge, 1st Place): Winning the ECML-PKDD Discovery Challenge on Foundation Models for Genomic Modelling (using the OGB benchmark) is direct evidence of my expertise in applying models to highly complex sequence and structural biological data. This task demands a deep understanding of models capable of capturing relationships across vast genomic landscapes.
2. Endoscopic Vision Challenge (28th MICCAI, 1st Place): Achieving 1st place in this challenge, benchmarked by the German Cancer Research Centre, demonstrates my ability to apply advanced models to medical datasets, particularly focusing on structural data and complex vision tasks.
3. StepUP Competition (IEEE IJCB, 1st Place): This highlights my adaptability and expertise in designing and training models to handle complex, noisy, real-world data.
