UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) lists education as a basic human right and deems it essential for the exercise of all other human rights. As of 2011, the Indian Literacy rate stood at a little over 74%. In recent years, India has made progress in increasing the literacy rate of the nation and it is widely acknowledged that the improved education system in India has directly influenced the economic rise of the nation. Having said that, the literacy rate in India is still well below the world average of 84%. To advance further as a nation, there is still plenty of work that needs to be done to educate the illiterate.
Sadqa foundation of India trust recognizes the importance of educating the youth and the long lasting benefits of education. The trust operates Educational Centers for street children at various locations where street children are given FREE education every day. Given the importance of the Class 10 Board Examinations and prepare for polytechnic exam , our team of teachers offers additional coaching to Class 10 students. To aid with their learning, Sadqa foundation of India trust supplements the classes by also providing supplies including books, clothes, shoes, stationery, school bags, etc. to all students.

India Specific Findings in GHI 2019
• India ranked below Pakistan (94), Bangladesh (88), Nepal (73) and Sri Lanka (66) among other South Asian countries.
• As per the report prepared by Welt Hunger Life, India is one of the 45 countries where hunger causes serious crisis.
• In India, only 9.6% of all children between 6 to 23 months of age are given a minimum acceptable diet.
• As per the report, the child wasting rate is the highest (20.8%) in the world while the child stunting rate is 37.9% in India.
• India scores 30.3 on the list and indicates that the level of hunger is serious in the country.
The Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) of the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) released on Friday showed the unemployment rate in the country in FY18 was at 5.3% in rural India and 7.8% in urban India, resulting in overall unemployment rate
Unemployment Rate in India averaged 7.34 percent from 2018 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 8.50 percent in October of 2019 and a record low of 6.70 percent in November of 2018.
