San Andreas Highway Emergency Response Operator (HERO) Program
The SADOT HERO program is funded by the State of San Andreas alongside the San Andreas DOT command board.

For general roadway reports and roadside assistance dial 511.
What is the HERO program?
SADOT provides a free Highway Emergency Response Operator service to respond to incidents occurring on the roadway and assist stranded motorists to ensure the utmost safety and efficiency across our traffic networks. HERO Patrols are operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
HERO vehicles are outfitted with emergency lighting and sirens, lawfully designating them as emergency vehicles, therefore permitting incident response utilising them when required.
Extended services
Snow & Ice Clearance
During times of snowfall, HERO patrols our networks with snow plows, in addition to emergency stations.
Commercial Vehicle Escorts
In addition to regular services, the HERO program operates escorts for commercial vehicles designated as oversized. This service is provided in collaboration with the San Andreas Highway Patrols commercial enforcement unit.
Fleet Services
Secondly, this program is the designated on-call fleet service provider to all emergency state agencies operating within San Andreas. Responding to and providing assistance where required.
HERO Patrol Routes
The HERO program covers the entire state, however patrols are focused on major roadways, highways, interstates, and rural freeways in addition to inner city state routes.
