Do you remember the “art kid” in your class? That quiet nobody, who sat in the corner and ignored the chaos of the classroom. She always seemed to be sketching something or jotting down notes, lost in her own world...
I have always had a passion for all things artistic and creative. Since middle school, I have tried to incorporate something creative into all of my work, bending the rules to make each assignment interesting (which annoyed some of my teachers). Even in art class, I would deviate from the assignment to tell my own stories and create my own worlds. From doodling in notebooks to my “edgy internet” era to today, one thing has been consistent in my work: with each piece, I am trying something new. I love to experiment with new ideas and techniques, solving problems in new ways while continuing to tell the stories that I believe should be told. From painting with crayola markers to animating short films, no two artworks are ever the same.
In the last few years, I have been selling art prints and stickers at farmers markets and conventions, as well as doing commission work ranging from drawing D&D characters to a scene from a local author's first novel. I believe that real, human-made art should be accessible to everyone. I want to help other’s stories come alive through my work, developing their ideas and pursuing growth in all parties involved. Above all else, I believe that God made me to create and gave me my creative mind and artistic skills. I am dedicated to following His plan for my life.
After graduating from West Texas High School with my associate's degree from Frank Phillips College, I plan to attend Christ for the Nations Institute and pursue art school afterwards. As an independent artist, I intend to keep doing what I love: creating art and working with people.
