Roseville Community Projects Incorporated (now Blue Line Arts) staged its first outreach display on February 1st, 1966, at an old Bank of America building in Downtown Roseville, under the direction of David Fiddyment, the inaugural Board President. The organization has evolved throughout the years with the help of dedicated board members, volunteers, and contributors, while remaining loyal to its initial mission: to support the arts.
The Haman House was purchased by Roseville Community Projects Incorporated in 1974 to house the Roseville Arts Center. This facility established exhibitions to support the community's visual and performing arts for the next 30 years. With Placer County's rapid growth at the turn of the century, the Blue Line Arts board of directors realized the need for change in order to carry out its purpose successfully. The Board of Directors decided in 2003 that the art center required its own space to expand.
After selling its previous site and completing a successful capital campaign, Roseville Arts renamed itself Blue Line Arts and launched its new, state-of-the-art gallery in February 2008. This new 5,000-square-foot building included exhibition space for established and upcoming artists as well as a room for children and adults to learn about art. In February 2013, the Roseville Arts Center underwent yet another name change, this time from "Blue Line Gallery" to "Blue Line Arts," to coincide with the 5th anniversary of the opening of the new gallery. This change was made not only to provide more opportunities to residents of Placer County, but also to return to the Roseville Arts Center's original mission.
