1. Overview: Sachin Singh ("Developer," "we," "our," or "us"), operating as VASP Foundation, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how the My File and My File Pro Android applications handle information. Because these are local-first security applications, we have designed them to ensure your data stays under your control.
2. No Data Collection: The Apps do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers.
No Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics (like Firebase or Flurry) to track your usage.
No Personal Info: We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or device identifiers.
No Log Files: The developer does not receive any logs from your device.
3. File Encryption and Storage: All files and photos you import into the Apps are stored locally on your device.
Local-Only: Your data is stored in the App's private directory.
Encryption: Files are secured based on the encryption selected by the user (AES-256 or ChaCha20).
Keys: Encryption keys are generated and stored securely within your device's Android KeyStore system. We have no access to your master passcode or your files.
4. Pro Features and Connectivity (Pro Version Only):
Cloud Services: If you connect to Google Drive, Dropbox, FTP, or SMB, the App connects directly to those providers. Your credentials and data never pass through our servers.
WiFi Transfer: This feature creates a local, peer-to-peer connection between your phone and your computer. Data is transmitted directly over your local network and is not accessible over the internet.
Camera Permission: The "Break-in Alert" feature requires camera access to capture unauthorized access attempts. These photos are stored only on your device and are never shared.
5. Permissions Usage: The Apps request only the permissions necessary for their functionality:
Photos/Media/Files: To allow you to import and export your data.
Network Access: Required for Cloud connectivity and local WiFi transfer.
Biometrics: Used to allow you to unlock the app with your fingerprint or face (handled by the system).
6. Data Retention and Deletion: Since we do not store your data on our servers, we cannot recover or delete it for you.
If you delete a file within the App, it is permanently erased.
If you uninstall the App, all encrypted data stored within the App is removed by the Android system.
7. Changes to This Policy: We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
