Currently I am working on the Phonepe's android app. Phonepe is the largest financial services provider app of one of the most populous countries in the world with more than 100 million downloads. Even though I haven't been long here Phonepe is very complimentary to whatever experience I have had in the past few years.
Before Phonepe I was working with Zomato. Within Zomato I had a chance to work on Zomato's consumer application and build two apps from scratch - Fitso and Blinkit. Here's a brief description about each of the app that I have worked on during this time.
- Zomato - Zomato is the major food delivery service provider in India with 100M+ downloads. This is where I learned most of what I know about android development.
- Blinkit - Blinkit is a quick commerce service provider app with around 10M+ downloads. Earlier this app was written in React Native and we built this app entirely from scratch in native android and iOS. We designed the entire app following latest principles of MVVM and reusability of whatever have been built in Zomato. During this time I also got to learn more about gradle build system and github actions. I have also written gradle scripts to create modules from Zomato's codebase and vice versa.
- Fitso - Fitso is a sport facility booking app which operates on a subscription based model. We built this app entirely from scratch and I got to deep dive in many components that I was using in Zomato's app.
