‘Peer-to-Peer Energy Trading in Electric Power Distribution Network’ [Jan 2021-present]
PhD thesis work under the guidance of Dr Naran M. Pindoriya at IIT Gandhinagar
Developing local energy trading frameworks that will allow the electricity prosumers and consumers located at the edge of the smart grid to transact energy in a peer-to-peer manner.
Inclusion of the network constraints, allocation of the network usage charges using distribution locational marginal pricing, modelling of the renewable generation uncertainty using chance constraints, and consideration of the strategic behaviour of the participants are some of the salient features of the framework under development.
'Blockchain and Smart Contract-based Decentralized Energy Trading Platform’ [Jan 2020-May 2020]
Independent research project under the guidance of Prof. Naran M. Pindoriya at IIT Gandhinagar
Developed a blockchain and smart contract-based energy trading platform to facilitate secure, transparent, and decentralized energy trading among the participants.
'Current Source Inverter-based Wireless Charging System for Electric Vehicle’ [Aug 2019-Nov 2019]
Independent research project under the guidance of Prof. S. Rajendran at IIT Gandhinagar
Simulated a static wireless charging system for electric vehicles using high-frequency resonant converter topology. Around 92% power transfer efficiency was achieved while maintaining zero voltage switching of the converter switches.
‘Optimal Operation of Grid-Tied Solar PV and BESS: A Case Study’ [May 2018-Jul 2019]
M.Tech. thesis work under the guidance of Dr. Naran M. Pindoriya at IIT Gandhinagar
Formulated an optimal scheduling algorithm for grid-tied battery energy storage system and solar PV to minimize the electricity procurement cost and validated it at the lab-scale level using power electronic converters and a real-time digital simulator (OPAL-RT).
