The Santa Ana College and California State University Fullerton (SAC-CSUF) Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) offers a unique opportunity for students accepted into the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program at Santa Ana College to pursue their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at the same time. Designed for academically strong and highly motivated students, the CEP allows participants to complete their BSN within six months to one year after graduating with their ADN. Students take SAC nursing coursework in person while concurrently enrolled in online or hybrid BSN coursework through CSUF. Admission into the CEP is competitive and requires students to meet eligibility criteria for both SAC and CSUF, including completion of all prerequisites and general education requirements, minimum GPA standards, and attendance at a CEP information session. Students selected for the program must maintain academic progress and complete the NCLEX-RN exam immediately after graduating from SAC to continue and complete their BSN at CSUF. This innovative pathway is ideal for students committed to advancing their nursing education quickly and entering the workforce as BSN-prepared nurses, a qualification that is increasingly valued by healthcare employers.
Students applying to the SAC–CSUF Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) must meet all prerequisite requirements for both the SAC Nursing Program and CSUF. Specifically, applicants must have successfully completed college-level courses in Chemistry [with or without lab], Statistics, and Critical Thinking in addition to the SAC Nursing pre-requisites. These courses are required to ensure eligibility for enrollment in upper-division BSN coursework at CSUF.
If you do not meet the CSUF requirements but would like to apply for the regular SAC Nursing Spring 2026 cohort, please visit this site instead.
Students accepted into the SAC-CSUF Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) will begin their classes in Fall 2026. Students will begin both the SAC Nursing Program and CSUF – CEP at the same time - Fall 2026
Only 20 students will be accepted into the SAC-CSUF CEP for Fall 2026. The available CEP admission spaces for Fall 2026 will be filled with students with the highest number of points. In the case of a tie in points, a lottery will be conducted. An additional 10 students will be selected as alternates.
Additional applications for Fall 2026, Non – CSUF CEP will begin February 1st – February 15th, 2026.
Notification of Acceptance will be e-mailed no later than the week of November 24, 2025. You must contact the Health Sciences/Nursing Office by December 5, 2025 by e-mail (nursing2@sac.edu), or by phone (714-564-6825) to confirm that you will be taking one of the available spaces in Fall 2026.
