What is the inspiration behind this event?

• McPherson College's Student Activities Board (SAB) has the unbelievable opportunity to present at the National Association of Campus Activities in Riverside, California, in November. They will present to other Student Activities Boards and Student Governments how to host engaging events, as they’ve already broken three attendance records this year! This is a huge professional development and leadership opportunity for these students. This event will be held as a fundraiser to help these students attend this conference.

What if I do if I cannot participate but I would like to donate?

What happens if there is inclement weather?

• This event will occur rain or shine! Some parts may be moved inside, however.

Color Run FAQs

Do I have to be an experienced runner to participate?

• We welcome all experience levels for this run. You can run, jog, or walk along the course.

Is the Color Run timed?

• No.

Is the color run safe?

• A majority of the run will occur on the McPherson College campus. The parts of the run not on campus will be blocked off to cars by the city.

Are spectators allowed?

• Yes.

Can kids participate?

• Yes! If you have a young child with whom you do not feel comfortable participating, there will be inflatables and other fun games supervised by MEHS (McPherson Education Honor Society).

Will the color ruin my clothes or running shoes?

• The color mostly washes out after the event. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it, the better. It’s best to wear items that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful.

Are strollers allowed?

• Yes! You’re welcome to bring strollers or wagons to The Color Run. Just keep in mind they might get colorful.

Can I run with my pet?

• For the safety of other participants, no.
