Facts:

• Sabrosura is a Latin Dance Troupe that was established at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2004.

• The founders of Sabrosura are UCSC Alumni Leilani Montes and Evelyn Bojorquez.

• Sabrosura's first ever performance was at Rachel Carson College in 2003.

Our Story:

• Sabrosura began as a branch of the student organization CAU (Central Americanos Unidos)

• When some members of CAU wanted to dance, they began to hold their own separate practices and meetings.

• The group officially became registered as its own student organization under SOMeCA/SOAR in 2004.

• Sabro's legacy was born. This student run, self taught dance troupe began hosting dance workshops, social events, and performing at various event both on and off campus
