I am Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics (DIMA), University of Genova, within the MIDA group

My research activity is focused on developing and applying advanced mathematical methods to address different problems in many scientific interdisciplinary areas, with a particular focus on space weather. Solar image reconstruction, solar flares and Coronal Mass Ejections forecasting, precipitation nowcasting on extreme events are some of key applications of my reasearch.

Visiting period

3rd - 14th June, 2019 - NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland (USA). 

Working on the desaturation problem of SDO/AIA images with Richard Schwartz.
