Try - "Fail" - Stand up. I say to myself, "I will try again, will "fail" again, and will stand up to try again."
"... But still, like air, I’ll rise ..." - a line in a poem "Still I Rise" by Maya Angelou.
Since the day I started learning research, the number of times I "failed" or "fail" is uncountable, I believe. Perhaps, my "success" rate is <0.001%.
Do you make mistakes often and feel bad afterwards? If yes, we are on the same boat :) . I think it is fine to make mistakes (I know this and still, I feel bad :) ). We can move forward by learning from those mistakes and trying our best not to do it again. I found that trying is all we can do :). Unfortunately, we can control only the input, and the output is not guaranteed :(. It is hard to go through the "failures" :(. But maybe it purifies us? Maybe it makes us stronger? Maybe it helps us to feel the pain of others who went through the specific "failure", which makes us kinder (because we can feel it. For example, I think we can not feel the exact sufferings of people living in a slum, without living there. That is, I learned that I can not feel the pain of something without going through it.)? Maybe it makes us more humble? Or does it do something else? I am trying to understand ...
The most important lesson I learned through "failures" and difficult moments is that I need to be kind always, regardless of the situation. I am trying.

Precaution: I am not a mental health professional! I wish I could be.
Do you need someone to listen to your "failures" in the exciting experiments? Let's say, you do lots of experiments (with the focus on bringing something new that may help people) by spending all of your days and nights going beyond the "usual" expectations from a Ph.D., M.Sc., or B.Sc. student. However, there are lots of "failures" which can be expected since anything great comes through lots of struggles, I believe. Reach out to me if you need someone to listen. I will be very happy to discuss the stories of "failures" (and perhaps cry together :)). 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I "failed"/"fail" in so many ways that sometimes I feel perhaps, I have covered all types of failures :( :).
Note:
I used ":)" in almost all places so one does not feel low while reading. If you want to know the actual feeling when I wrote these, replace ":)" by "😢"
