The supplier provides the products from the manufacturer and sells them to the customers. A supplier can produce products, but they don’t have sources to sell them to retailers or their customers directly.

Types of Wholesale clothing supplier:

Merchant Wholesalers: Merchant wholesalers purchase a larger quantity of clothing products which they divided into so many small quantities and sell those smaller quantities for a slightly higher price. Merchant wholesalers do not manufacture their products, but they have the knowledge of products and when is the right time to start selling them to retail businesses to increase the earning amount. Those products could be sold in different industries.

Brokers : A broker is a person that acts as an intermediary between an investor and a retailer. A broker can also refer to the role of a firm when it acts as an agent for a customer and charges the customer a commission for its services. Brokers don’t own the products or sell the products. Its role primarily consists of providing a point of contact for institutional clients seeking to buy or sell financial or non-financial products. The broker receives a commission on each client transaction a broker negotiates a good deal between the two parties and works off a sales commission structure.

Sales and Distribution: A manufacturer could hire people directly, instead of relying on wholesale businesses to find a manufacturer, this means that a manufacturer will find out the wholesale operators to offer their products to them. A person who sells clothing products on behalf of the garments company is known as the salesman/woman.

Distribution is the process to make clothing products or services available for the customers.

Distribution has two types:

  1. Direct distribution: Direct distribution means distributing the clothing products directly to the end customers.

  2. Indirect distribution: This process does not distribute the products directly to the customers, instant of distributing the products directly the distribution team divides the process into some steps and distributes them according to the process.
