Genealogy is the study of families, family history, and the tracing of lineages. National Genealogy Day, March 8, is an opportunity to learn about your family history, share stories, and connect with your ancestry. To honor this annual tradition, several FamilySearch Centers in and around San Antonio have extended hours to assist anyone with their family research. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides FamilySearch free of charge to everyone, regardless of tradition, culture, or religious affiliation.
Join us to see what you can discover. Computers are available but you are encouraged to bring your own electronic device (computer, tablet, or phone) to access FamilySearch.

FamilySearch provides the world's largest online shared family tree. FamilySearch’s unified family tree differs from the tree-building experience at most other websites. Instead of concentrating efforts on privately constructing their own individual trees, FamilySearch tree builders cooperate to build a single, shared tree that helps you and others discover more about ancestors and other family members.
As FamilySearch explains, “We enable inspiring journeys that bring joy to all people as they discover, gather, and connect their family—past, present, and future.”
