Duke Summer STEM Academy

I had the incredible opportunity to be part of the Duke Summer STEM Academy through a highly selective admissions process, which selected 30 students not only from North Carolina, but across the country. During this program I spent 3 weeks brainstorming, prototyping, and testing a "tech for good" project. I collaborated with 3 other people to to create our product, a helmet that displays turn signals and informs users of nearby objects aimed to increase communication with bikers and cars. I led our team in the entire design process of creating the turn signals and led the creation of the presentation that was given to Pratt School of Engineering professors and student advisors.
