 Other Education

So far, the training I have participated in is divided into three groups:

1.     Theater and Dance: This training began in 1996-1997, focusing on basic acting and body techniques with the Komunitas Teater Hitam Putih in West Sumatra. In September 2000, I participated in the Body Theatre Workshop held by Teater Garasi in Padangpanjang. From January 11-16, 2011, I attended a theater empowerment training using the Augusto Boal method in Lampung. From September to November 2011, I participated in the Amerta Movement training in Lemah Putih, Central Java, and on November 23, 2016, I joined a puppet theater training at Nan Jombang in Padang, West Sumatra. From September 12 to November 7, 2020, I took a body dance training with choreographer Eun Me Ahn. From January to August 2021, I completed a Silat training. 

2.     Scenography: From 2000 to 2006, I participated in intensive training on mask-making and theater lighting at the Padangpanjang Performance Hall. In May 2006, I attended a lighting designer training, followed by scenography training in July 2017. These experiences strengthened my skills in scenography and its application to contemporary theater and dance works.

3.     Development of Academic Writing Skills: I have attended training focused on academic writing and arts management, starting with the Cultural Organization Governance training in May 2005 in Jakarta. I then participated in journal article writing training in August 2017 in Bandung, followed by qualitative software-based writing training with Atlas.ti in July 2022. These trainings have contributed to my academic capacity in art research, particularly in the development of artistic concepts.
