Overview
As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), I teach undergraduate courses with a strong focus on combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications. My goal is to equip students with the skills and mindset needed to excel in academic research and industry roles.
Current Courses Taught
Digital Image Processing (Theory + Sessional)
Covers image acquisition, enhancement, restoration, and transformation techniques such as DFT, DCT, DWT, and Hadamard Transform, with hands-on implementation in image processing applications.
Introduction to Mathematical Programming
Introduces linear and nonlinear optimization concepts, duality, and solution techniques, focusing on applications in engineering and decision-making.
Previous Courses Taught
Object-Oriented Programming (Sessional)
Practical training in object-oriented principles, class design, inheritance, and polymorphism.
Artificial Intelligence (Sessional)
Lab-based introduction to AI concepts, including search algorithms, knowledge representation, and basic machine learning.
Digital Logic Design (Sessional)
Hands-on practice in combinational and sequential circuit design, logic minimization, and simulation.
Mentoring & Supervision
Three undergraduate students have successfully completed their theses under my supervision:
Deep Learning-based Approach for Accurate Malaria Parasite Classification (Completed)
Video-Based Cricket Action Classification using Deep Learning in Sports Analytics (Completed and Manuscript submitted to ICCIT 2025)
Dynamic Hand Gesture Recognition using Deep Learning (Completed)
Improving the Scientific Reasoning of LLMs
Lip reading with the power of computer vision
Real-Time crowd counting from UAV feeds
From Vision to Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)—we are exploring new possibilities and targeting top-tier journals and conferences for future publications.
