I am a Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at Birmingham City University (BCU). I am affiliated with Department of Engineering at the School of Architecture, Built Environment, Computing and Engineering (ABCE).
My research endeavours, undertaken in collaboration with my graduate students and research group, encompass a comprehensive and multidimensional approach aimed at fostering a resilient and sustainable power grid. This expansive research agenda concentrates on addressing complex challenges, including:
Optimizing power scheduling and control through the application of cutting-edge computational techniques and predictive models
Mitigating uncertainties introduced by Electric Vehicle (EV) charging and renewable energy sources
Enhancing grid cybersecurity by leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities
Ensuring financial stability within the power sector
Identifying and addressing power system vulnerabilities
Through this research, we strive to develop innovative solutions that promote a robust, efficient, and sustainable power grid for the future.
