Plotting Software

Prerequisites

Here are the things you need to be able to use this software:

A Chameleon SA-1 SWR Analyzer
Plotting Software the you can download below
A 3.5mm serial cable which you can get from the following sources
- Digikey Electronics (expensive)
- Amazon.com (less expensive)
- Ali Express (cheap but takes a long time)
- Roll you own with the pinout shown in the drawing

Download Software

Download the software and put the executable file on your desktop or some other convenient location. Double-click on the icon to run the software. No installation is required. Windows maybe suspicious of the publisher but there are no viruses, ads or other malware.

Using the software

Enter the start frequency for the sweep in MHz. Must be between 1.6 and 160 MHz and less than the stop frequency
Enter the stop frequency for the sweep in MHz. Must be between 1.6 and 160 MHz and higher than the start frequency
Enter the number of points to plot, takes about 1 second per point.
Opens a file dialog to save the current plot as a .BMP (image) file.
Opens a file dialog to save the current plot as a comma separated value (.CSV) file for spreadsheets
Information about the connection to the SA-1 and live data from the SA-1
Start a plot
Displays the progress through the sweep
Band presets - sets the start and stop frequencies for Ham Bands from 160 to 2 meters.
