About the Opportunity: Lyrik Back Bay is seeking a talented writer to collaborate on a one-of-a-kind storytelling opportunity celebrating one of Boston’s most exciting new developments. This writer will craft a compelling, advertorial-style story about Lyrik Back Bay to be featured in a local publication MyBoston Magazine.
This piece will spotlight the project's history, highlight recent milestones, and capture the dynamic future ahead, from new tenant openings to the legacy Lyrik will leave on Back Bay. We’re looking for someone who can weave together elements of journalism and marketing to tell a powerful story that resonates with readers and reflects the spirit of Lyrik.
What You’ll Do:
Write an Engaging Feature Story: Craft a polished, compelling 400–600 word advertorial that introduces Lyrik Back Bay to the local audience and neighborhood. The piece should highlight the building’s development journey, its recent community impact, and what’s next.
Collaborate with the S&A Team: Work closely with our in-house marketing team to gather insights and ensure storytelling aligns with the Lyrik brand and our broader campaign vision.
Research + Interviews: Conduct a small number of interviews with individuals involved in the planning, building, and opening of the project. Come prepared to ask thoughtful questions that will help shape your storytelling angle.
Celebrate the Spirit of the Project: This isn’t just a building—it’s a transformation. We want a story that speaks to how Lyrik has reimagined a long-undeveloped site and brought new energy, design, and community value to the heart of Back Bay.
What we’re looking for:
A strong portfolio of editorial, marketing, or branded storytelling work.
The ability to write with clarity, energy, and heart.
Experience working independently, as well as collaboratively, and being open to feedback.
Artists who are passionate about Boston’s cultural scene and excited to highlight new happenings at Lyrik.
Someone who is excited to shape a narrative that connects places and people.
Why You Should Apply:
Visibility: Your piece will be published in a local publication, reaching an engaged and established Back Bay audience. Your name will be included in the byline.
Compensation: Based on your rate.
Creative Influence: Help shape the public’s first impression of one of Boston’s most exciting new properties, and the impact it’s having on the city.
Grow Your Network: This role offers the opportunity to expand your professional network, collaborate with local businesses, and contribute to meaningful projects. You'll gain valuable experience, build a strong portfolio, and create reference-worthy work while working alongside a dynamic team.
Support Provided:
Research materials, key messaging, and direct quotes will be provided by the S&A marketing team to support your writing process.
